Mattoon High School is home to 947 kids, grades 9-12. We host 197 of staff from teachers to admin to support staff.

A Mattoon High School graduate will be LIFE READY by possessing the necessary life skills, social emotional intelligence, and character that empower them to approach their future with confidence, to dream big and achieve big.
Meet the Team
Mattoon High School’s Academic Lighthouse Team is composed of 10 students and 13 faculty. They meet once a month to discuss academic data from instructional rounds and student response data. The Culture Lighthouse Team is comprised of 25 students and 15 faculty. They meet once a month to discuss data centered around student attendance and classroom supports. Leadership Lighthouse Team is comprised of 25 students and 11 staff members. This team, too, meets once a month to discuss data in relation to student leadership and positive incentive achievement. Each team has a scoreboard to track progress on lead measures.
