1.1 - Principal & Coordinator Development

At Franklin Preschool, the principal and coordinator have attended many LIM conferences, Community Learning Day events, and applied to present at breakout sessions. The principal sends out Monday motivational emails with LiM/Habit focus, has encouraged staff mission statements, and displayed WIGs for others to see. Also, the principal advocates that others take over committees and have shared leadership. Staff also make their own goals and monitor their progress on goals. Recently, the principal, lighthouse coordinator, and leadership team members attended the Washington D.C. Symposium and presented a breakout session regarding “How to Incorporate Leader in Me in a Preschool Setting.” We also recently completed a book study entitled “Trust & Inspire” by Stephen M. R. Covey.
