1.2 New and Ongoing Staff Learning

Each year new staff members attend a two-day intensive 7 Habits training and are assigned mentors that support them throughout the year. In conjunction, the SEL Coach provides LiM training, resources, and leads coaching cycles. Throughout the year, the Lighthouse team meets to help create and encourage opportunities to boost staff engagement and align our actions with the Lighthouse Rubric. Additionally, school-wide WIGS, classroom WIGS, and data are shared with school and community members to ensure accountability.



As we celebrate the beginning of each school year, all staff participate in Leader in Me kick-off celebrations and trainings. Throughout the year, habit boosters and reminders are provided by the LHCs at monthly faculty meetings which empower our educators with the foundations of living through the 7 Habits.


WIG trackers are utilized to model highly effective 7 Habits practices and to assist staff in consistently monitoring and reflecting on progress towards personal, classroom, and school-wide goals.
