Leadership content is more than just a one time event at LIFT. Students incorporate their leadership learning into their daily practices and show evidence of their leadership through their leadership portfolio.
Service to the community is at the heart of LIFT’s purpose. Students take individual pathway content and apply it to real world application to expand learning and growth. Through this process and through reflection, students synthesize the impact that their learning has had on the community and/or world. LIFT connects to our local community throughout the year in events such as a 9/11 Stair Challenge honoring 1st responders and Veterans Day activities. We open our doors to the community for the annual Trunk or Treat and Downtown Christmas. Students provide service to the community through their Capstone Projects, our annual Day of Service, and the Franklin Covey Global Leadership Day.
Capstone Presentations and Student Showcases are one of the unique elements of LIFT that allow students to incorporate their passions to their learning and to better their community and the world around them through their contribution, skills, and service. We celebrate their greatness and accomplishments by inviting as many people as possible! Parents, peers, community, industry partners, regional superintendents, principals, guidance counselors, and family.
