Common Spaces & Classrooms:
Student voice influenced the architect’s building design process, resulting in an open and collaborative environment. The building has motivating, uplifting, and positive messaging. You will find 8th grade artwork from Mattoon Middle School in our LIFT student-led restaurant. Students have walls and glass that can be written while they work. TVs on each floor display MRA data, WIGs, announcements, student opportunities (regional extra curricular schedules, jobs, internships, leadership, scholarships, etc.) and of course student celebrations! Mission statements are visible on each floor as well as each pathways connection to the 7 Habits. Facilitators also display their WIGs and Clifton Strengths. You will also find student created QR codes that will better explain LIFT’s available pathways.
