4.2 Leadership Roles

Student Lighthouse team: Student action teams have specific roles: Team Leader, Note Taker, Action Panning, and Progress Pusher. Monthly accountability and mentored by facilitators. Student voice is captured in action team creation - kids are tasked to find needs within the building and form action teams around those needs.

Direction and Goals: Lead Team members use Action Planning Forms to organize their action team projects. Systems are in place to track their project accomplishment and to celebrate these results.

Team Empowerment: Lift students have many opportunities for leadership roles. These roles could include leading WIG meetings, community events, building tours, and leading capstone projects throughout the region.
