5.3 - Aligned School WIGs

At the beginning of the 23-24 school year, MMS staff had the opportunity to participate in the Leader in Me Academics 1 Impact Journey. Considering our district-level goals, as well as data from our IAR assessments, MRA, and Panorama surveys, we collaboratively identified our school-wide WIGs, as well as the specific lead measures needed for each. We also developed a system to track our progress.


Throughout the year, students assist in gathering and analyzing data to maintain our public scoreboards. Our scoreboards help us stay focused on what is wildly important and track our progress toward our Leadership, Culture, and Academic WIGs.


Weekly team meetings and monthly department meetings provide an opportunity to discuss our progress and ensure a cadence of accountability. This collaborative structure supports goal alignment and attainment from the district, school, team, classroom, and individual levels.
